HOK
The Croatian Base Map (HOK) is the official state base map made at 1:5000 scale. The official state map is an encoded image of natural and man-made objects on the earth’s surface produced for the whole territory of the Republic of Croatia. The Croatian Base Map, formerly called the Base State Map (Osnovna državna karta) was produced between 1954 and 2010, when the last HOK sheets were put into official use. The whole territory of the Republic of Croatia is covered with 9802 HOK sheets. One sheet covers a surface area of 675 ha. The base original used for producing the HOK is large-scale aerial photogrammetric imaging, while map data are shown with a minimum level of generalisation. The HOK is used in activities related to detailed spatial planning, concept planning and designing infrastructural objects, in professional use related to public and private management, planning and maintenance, rescue operations, tourist and recreational activities etc. The HOK is created in zones 5 and 6 of the Gauss-Krueger cartographic projection on Bessel ellipsoid 1841. However, for SGA Geoportal purposes sheets are transformed into HTRS96/TM system using the 7-parameter transformation. Since 2011, the HOK has been made according to new division in sheets and in the new cartographic projection HTRS96/TM on GRS80 ellipsoid.

Topographic Maps
TK25, TK100, TK200
TK25
The TK25 topographic map is the official state base map made at 1:25 000 scale. The official state map is an image representation of natural and man-made objects on the earth’s surface produced for the whole territory of the Republic of Croatia. The topographic map at 1:25000 scale was produced between 1996 and 2010 and covers the whole territory of the Republic of Croatia with 594 sheets. One sheet covers a surface area of 13745 ha. The base original used for producing the TK25 is aerial photogrammetric imaging, topographic data and the digital relief model. The TK25 is produced according to the corresponding Technical specifications. The main groups of objects shown on the TK25 are permanent geodetic base points, buildings and other structures, utilities and objects related to utilities, roads and objects related to transportation, vegetation and soil types, waters and objects related to waters, height representation of terrain and relief forms, state border, map frame and description with the reference grid and geographical names. All topographic data on the TK25 are shown with the same level of importance and certain level of generalisation. The TK25 is used in activities related to spatial planning, concept planning and designing infrastructural objects, in professional use related to public and private management, planning and maintenance, rescue operations, tourist and recreational activities, etc. The TK25 is created in zones 5 and 6 of the Gauss-Krueger cartographic projection based on Bessel 1841 ellipsoid. Since 2011, the TK25 is being produced according to the new sheet division and in the new cartographic projection HTRS96/TM based on GRS80 ellipsoid.
TK100
The TK100 topographic map is the official state base map made at 1:100000 scale. The official state map is an image representation of natural and man-made objects on the earth’s surface produced for the whole territory of the Republic of Croatia. The topographic map at 1:100000 scale was produced between 1980 and 1984 and covers the whole territory of the Republic of Croatia with 55 sheets. The TK100 is created in zones 5 and 6 of the Gauss-Krueger cartographic projection based on Bessel 1841 ellipsoid. However, for publishing on the SGA Geoportal sheets are transformed into HTRS96/TM official state projected coordinate system using the 7-parameter transformation.
TK200
The TK200 topographic map is the official state base map made at 1:200000 scale. The official state map is an image representation of natural and man-made objects on the earth’s surface produced for the whole territory of the Republic of Croatia. The topographic map at 1:200000 scale was produced between 1982 and 1986 and covers the whole territory of the Republic of Croatia with 18 sheets. The TK200 is created in zones 5 and 6 of the Gauss-Krueger cartographic projection based on Bessel 1841 ellipsoid. However, for publishing on the SGA Geoportal sheets are transformed into HTRS96/TM official state projected coordinate system using the 7-parameter transformation.

Digital Ortophoto Map 1:5000
DOP5
The digital orthophoto map (DOP5) is an official state map and is produced at a scale of 1:5000 for the entire territory of the Republic of Croatia. An orthophoto map is a map sheet composed of one or more orthophoto images of a uniform scale with a rectangular coordinate grid, appropriate cartographic symbols and supplemented with extra-frame data. DOP 5 has been systematically produced in the territory of the Republic of Croatia since 2000. The entire territory of the Republic of Croatia is covered with 10,945 DOP 5 sheets. The surface area of one sheet covers an area of 600 ha. The basic product on which the production of DOP 5 is based is aerial photogrammetric images taken according to the appropriate Technical Product Specifications. DOP 5 is used for administrative purposes, especially for urban and rural planning. Until 2009, DOP 5 was produced in zones 5 and 6 of the Gauss-Krueger map projection on the Bessel ellipsoid 1841, and since 2009 in the new HTRS96/TM map projection on the GRS80 ellipsoid.

Digital Ortophoto Map LiDAR
DOP LiDAR
Digital orthophoto map created based on aerial photogrammetric survey in 2022-2023 as part of the project “Multisensor aerial survey of the Republic of Croatia for the purpose of disaster risk reduction assessment”. The DOP was created in a sheets division of 1:5000 with a pixel size of 25 cm in the HTRS96/TM projection reference system and in RGB production.

Map Sheets
The official positional reference coordinate system of the Republic of Croatia is the Croatian Terrestrial Reference System for the epoch 1995.55 (HTRS96), and for the needs of state topographic cartography and cadastre, the projection coordinate reference system of the transverse Mercator projection (HTRS96/TM) is adopted. The projection reference system HTRS96/TM is based on the mapping of the Geodetic Reference System 1980 (GRS80) ellipsoid into the projection plane according to the laws of the transverse Mercator projection. The territory of the Republic of Croatia is mapped into a single zone measuring 600 km x 600 km. The origin of the sheets division from which the rows and columns of sheets are counted is the upper left corner of the area of sheets division . Its coordinates in the HTRS96/TM system are E 200 000,000 m, N 5 170 000 m. The hierarchical division into sheets is defined with regard to the thematic grouping of products. Thus, for scales 1:250,000, 1:100,000 and 1:50,000, the division into sheets is obtained by directly dividing the entire area of division into sheets, and for other scales it is obtained based on the division for scale 1:50,000.

Digital Terrain Model
DTM
DTM is a set of individual demarcation points, elevation points’ rasters, breaklines and lines of the forms required to illustrate the Earth’s surface. The data for the DTM production and updating is collected by photogrammetric mapping (stereo surveying) with the help of digital photogrammetric stations from aerial photographs. DTM is produced in the new HTRS96/TM map projection on the GRS8 ellipsoid. The DTM is used in the production of isohypses on the TM25, as the basis for the DOP5 rectification,for the production of the calculations related to the project design part and can also be used for the purpose of analysing the relief, shading the slants, calculating exposition etc.

Digital Cadastral Map
DKP
The cadastral map is a graphical representation of cadastral data including the following mandatory data: 1. numbers of cadastral parcels, boundaries and other borders of cadastral parcels; 2. boundaries between different uses of cadastral parcel parts, buildings and other structures; 3. house numbers of buildings; and 4. names (fallow land, streets, squares and others names). The cadastral map is kept and maintained in cadastral offices. Cadastral maps were historically produced as results of different land surveys and in different coordinate systems, and were kept and maintained in analogue form. All those analogue cadastral maps have been digitised by using the available technologies to make digital faithful copies of the situation on paper. Today, the cadastral map, as a result of cadastral survey, is produced in digital form. Cadastral maps show cadastral parcels with their boundaries, buildings constructed on them, and cadastral parcel numbers. The cadastral map is used for issuing the public document called “cadastral map copy” which serves as evidence that a particular cadastral parcel is shown on the cadastral map. The cadastral maps published in the SGA Geoportal viewer have been transformed, using official state parameters (7P), into a new datum and new projection (HTRS96/TM).
Cadastral Parcels and Cadastral Municipalities
The INSPIRE Directive as one of the core themes of Annex I defines the Cadastral Parcels theme. INSPIRE Data specification on Cadastre Parcels as mandatory object classes includes cadastral parcel boundaries (CP: CadastralParcel) and cadastral municipalities (CP: CadastralZoning). Based on the Digital Cadastral Map, the data for the mandatory classes were set out and harmonized with the INSPIRE Data specification on Cadastral Parcels.

Basic Topographic Database
BTD
The data contained in the BTD are topologically processed original data from photogrammetric restitution and represent the most accurate/detailed data that is generated during the creation of a topographic map at a scale of 1:25000. The basic topographic database, based on CROTIS, was established as a unique spatial database, based on principles that enable other entities to upgrade with attribute data from their jurisdiction and interests. Special emphasis is placed on meeting basic needs such as timeliness, reliability, geometric and attribute accuracy of the data in the system.

Register of Geographic Names
RGN
The Register of Geographic Names contains geographical names in the territory of the Republic of Croatia from official maps and other official sources. The Register contains names of counties, towns/ municipalities, settlements, UNESCO’s cultural heritage of the Republic of Croatia, airports, national parks, nature parks and other protected natural facilities, sheets of new topographic maps, names from EuroGlobalMap v.3.0. etc. The effort was to import names of all islands, rivers, lakes, mountains, peaks and other dominant geographic objects according to the map scale. Position data are given in the HTRS96/TM reference system. UTF-8 character encoding was used. Network services are subject to the appropriate terms of use for the network view service and terms of use for the network download service.
